Take Action on Impeachment

Over the last week as the impeachment hearings have moved steadily forward, the evidence is overwhelming: President Trump has repeatedly abused the Constitution in pursuit of political power and personal gain. The House is doing its job. Now it’s OUR turn.

Impeachment was designed by the Founders to remove any official who abuses the powers of office or is unfit to continue to serve.  This is the way we hold any official, including the President, accountable for their actions while in office.  Impeachment   preserves the integrity of government and the rule of law between election cycles.  Donald Trump has blatantly betrayed our national security for personal gain, corrupted our elections, and defied legitimate subpoenas and requests for testimony and documents that would prove the extent of his guilt.  You know the story; now it’s time to make your voice heard.

CALL TO ACTION

  1. Call Republican representatives and waffling Democrats and tell them Trump needs to be held accountable for his actions in office.

Tell your Representative that there is enough evidence to vote for the articles of impeachment.  The President has abused power and engaged in bribery for his own personal political benefit at the expense of national security by withholding military aid from Ukraine in exchange for an investigation into a political rival. Impeachment is the Constitutional remedy by which the Legislative branch holds the Executive to account for such actions.   It does not matter that some think it is politically inexpedient. It is the right and necessary thing to do!

  2. Plan to attend an impeachment eve Nobody is Above the Law event.  On the night before the House votes on articles of impeachment, we need to march and tell our representatives in the House to vote YES on impeachment.  Join Indivisible, MoveOn, or Stand Up America to find local rallies and actions near you.

  3. Donate to the seven freshman Democratic Representatives who bravely wrote an op-ed supporting impeachment and helped move Nancy Pelosi to begin investigations: Gil Cisneros (CA), Jason Crow (CO), Chrissy Houlahan (PA), Elaine Luria (VA), Mikie Sherrill (NJ), Elissa Slotkin (MI), and Abigail Spanberger (VA). Each has a record of military or intelligence service and each is facing a vulnerable reelection in their swing districts.  They deserve our support.
