Halloween is over but the witching hour is about to begin. These Midterm Elections are plenty scary!
If you have been reading the news, you know this election is critical to save democracy. The Republican Party has transformed from a lumbering, stumbling monster into the zombie enemy of democracy. The Republican agenda - denying the legitimacy of the last election, gerrymandering and voter suppression - threatens to end the American democratic experiment as we know it.
This election will also help determine the outcome of the 2024 election. Republicans have fielded slates of election deniers who won’t promise to accept the outcome if they lose. Across the country Republican candidates running for positions overseeing elections such as Secretary of State, Attorney General and County Clerk are openly campaigning to control the 2024 national election regardless of the results of the vote. We can only stop this by electing candidates who pledge to respect the results of the election.
This is not just one or two escapees from the political asylum - across the country hundreds of Republicans have refused to say that they will abide by the election results. In every case the Democrats running have promised to do so.
Vote! And encourage friends and family to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot!
